Meet Molly

I recently obtained a master’s degree in hospitality management at the University of South Florida while I was living in a refurbished, studio garage in Sarasota, Florida.  At this point in my life I was feeling unsettled, wondering what was my next direction. Due to my yearning desire to create and and consume healthy food I started experimenting with making raw, protein bites for my friends and family. Having limited cooking space, a second-hand food processor, and an entrepreneurial spirit the evolution of Nutty Girl began!    My passion for simple, clean ingredients such as raw nuts, seeds, dates, and natural sweeteners contributed to the organic evolution of Nutty Girl where everything is made with nuts, plant-based, gluten free with no refined sugars or low sugar.

In my adolescent years I struggled with my weight and battled the addictive properties of wheat and sugar. It was a vicious cycle that left me groggy, with low energy, and overweight! As I got older, I became more conscious of how these processed, refined ingredients were affecting me emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  Through a combination of exercise, mindful eating, and fulfilling my sweet cravings with Nutty Girl treats I finally started my journey into health and wellness!

As Nutty Girl evolved, I was also in search to find out how I could help young girls develop healthy self-esteems, encourage them in their schooling and offer them friendship.  Nutty Girl found She's the First, based out of New York City which is a "movement whose vision is to help fight gender inequality through education." We proudly offer monthly support to this amazing movement and remain hopeful that young girls can choose their own future. 

My favorite part of the week is when I get to check in on the girls at the Sarasota chapter of Girls Inc. This is where all the magic happens and I get to help & mentor these girls set up a mock fashion boutique, make jewelry, draw, talk, and basically just play!
